| 内容記述 | If we define German literature as a literature written in Germany by the Germans in German, German literature begins under the Saxon dynasty of the Kingdom of East Frank in the 11th century. But only a few manuscripts of literary works from this age are extant. However, many works written during the Staufen dynasty in the 12th century still exist. Therefore, practically speaking, German literature begins with this age. This paper analyzes the characteristics of the verse from the middle of the 12th century to the beginning of the 13th century. It concludes that verse in this period critically reflects historical and social issues, in particular those related to the literary activities and concerns of the nobility in the court cultures of the day. |
