| 内容記述 | 本論文においては、今まで先行研究においてほとんど取り上げられて来なかった日本語 のコピュラ「だ」の軽動詞としての用法を取り上げ、それが動名詞（Verbal Noun, VN）と 複合述語を形成し、動詞格のついた項とともに生起する構文（「をVN だ」構文）がイン ターネットにおいてどのぐらいの頻度で出現するかを、Google 検索により確認した。軽動 詞「する」と結合した場合に、他動詞を派生させる動名詞、472 項目を選び出し、そのう ちどの動名詞が実際に「をVN だ」構文として現れるか検証したものである。その結果、 472 項目のうち4 分の1 を超える割合（26.5％）の動名詞が「をVN だ」の構文として現 れることが認められた。さらに、「をVN だ」構文に終助詞「か」が接続し疑問文を作っ たと思われる「をVN か」構文に出現する動名詞を調べ、「をVN だ」構文か「をVN か」 構文のどちらか一方、あるいは両方の構文に出現する動名詞を調べたところ、472 項目の 50％にのぼった。これは、先行研究で広く認められているところの「をVN 中」構文に動 名詞が出現する割合（55.7％）に近く、コピュラが軽動詞として動名詞と複合述語を形成 する割合は決して希少なことではないことがわかった。また、「をVN だ」構文に現れる 動名詞のタイプを調べたところ、境界動名詞、非境界動名詞、非動作主動名詞などの様々 なものがあるということが認められた。 |

| 内容記述 | This paper shows how frequently the Japanese copula functions as a light verb and forms a complex predicate with a verbal noun in the actually occurring data on the internet. Such a construction with a verbal noun with a copula was sporadically referred to in the literature. This construction, however, has not been fully discussed as a construction with a verbal noun forming a complex predicate with a light verb, in comparison to a construction with a verbal noun followed by the aspectual suffix –tyuu ‘during.’ Google search was made from March 13 to June 27, 2010, to find out how many of 472 verbal nouns occur in the o-VN-da construction, that is, the construction with a verbal noun preceded by its theme argument in the accusative and followed by the copula da. 125 verbal nouns were confirmed as occurring in the o-VN-da construction, or 26.5% of the 472 occurred in the construction in question. And 236 verbal nouns （50% of the 472） occurred in either the o-VN-da construction or the o-VN-ka （where there is a zero copula）, or both those constructions. This shows that the o-VN-da/ka is not a rare construction in Japanese. It was also confirmed that the type of verbal nouns that occur in this construction is not limited to the telic type, but atelic and non-agentive verbal nouns also appear in the construction in question. |
