| 内容記述 | 本研究は、上級の日本語学習者を対象に、日本人の名字ベスト200 に関して、難易度 と正答率を調査したものである。具体的には、中国・台湾・韓国からの留学生16 名に、 ベスト200 の名字の読み方を記述してもらった。その結果、１）ベスト50 の名字の正 答率は高いが、下位になるほど正答率が下がるわけではない、2）正答率が低い名字に使 用されている漢字は、上級レベル以上の漢字とは限らない、3）名字に関する知識と滞在 月数には、相関関係が認められない、以上のことが明らかになった。日本語学習者にとっ て日本人の名字が難しいのは、漢字の難易度に原因があるのではなく、音読みと訓読み の使い分けや濁点の有無の判断に加え、名字に特有の読み方や例外の多さが関係してい る。名字を正しく読めることは、日本での就職を希望する留学生にとって重要なことで あり、今後は漢字の指導にも積極的に取り入れていくべきである。 |

| 内容記述 | This research investigates difficulty and a percentage of correct answers about the top 200 of Japanese family names for 16 foreign students from China, Taiwan and South Korea in the upper Japanese language class. As a result, although the percentage of correct answers of the top 50’s family names is high, a percentage of correct answers does not necessarily fall in the lower rank. In addition, the Chinese character of a family name with a low percentage of correct answers does not necessarily have high difficulty, and correlation is not observed in the knowledge about a family name and the length of stay in Japan. The reason is not because of the difficulty of Chinese characters used in the family names but because of proper use of phonetic reading and native Japanese reading, and the existence of a voiced consonant mark. Furthermore, the numerousness of reading peculiar to a family name and exceptions is also related. It is important for foreign students who wish employment in Japan that a family name can be read correctly, and the reading of Japanese family name should be positively taught in the Japanese language course. |
