| 内容記述 | 本稿では、タイ人新人日本語教師2 名を対象にして、日本語で実施した個人別態度構造 （Personal Attitude Construct: PAC）分析について、インタビューの仕方に焦点をあてて 考察した。分析の結果、インタビュアーや通訳者がどのようにインタビュー場面に臨んだ かが、調査協力者の語りのありように影響を与えていることを明らかにした。具体的には、 インタビュアーの調査協力者への問いかけ方の影響の他、通訳者を同席させること自体が 協力者に安心感を与えて語りやすくなる可能性などを指摘した。また、調査協力者の語り を解釈する際には、語りの背景にある母語の影響や社会的文脈との関係についても理解す ること、通訳者の訳し方は意訳になっていないかを検証することなどの留意点を挙げた。 PAC 分析ではインタビュアーはできるだけ協力者の発話を引き出すことに専念し、自らの 語りを控えることになっているために、協力者の語りのみが分析対象になりがちである。 本研究の成果は、PAC 分析であっても、インタビューの構成員全員の発話を分析の対象と する必要性を示唆したと言える。また、それは、非母語話者を対象にして外国語で実施し たPAC 分析に限らず、PAC 分析を活用する者全員が念頭におくべきことだと言えよう。 |

| 内容記述 | This paper analyzed the survey of two Thai novice Japanese-language teachers by Personal Attitude Construct (PAC) analysis, and discussed what we should know when conducting PAC analysis using a foreign language with the participants. The survey was conducted in Japanese, but participants were allowed to ask an interpreter to join. The researchers investigated whether those teachers’ responses were influenced by the interviewer’s and the interpreter’s way of talking, and if they were, how they were influenced. As a result, this survey found out that: 1. those teachers’ responses were influenced by the speed at which the interview proceeded, the way they were questioned, as well as the presence of the interpreter; 2. (the interpreter’s) interpretation sometimes differed from what participants exactly said and this might have misled the researcher to an invalid analysis. The data taken using PAC analysis has been usually focused on only the participants’ utterances. However, findings of this survey indicate that even in PAC analysis, researchers should consider how the interviewer and the interpreter talk to the participants when interpreting the interview data. |
