Followings are the summary of his responses submitted to the 21st Century Research Project Team of the institute. \n1. Admissions as a practical problem for education. \n Planning, administration and evaluation of college admissions are the golden opportunities for educational psychologists to examine their theories and to verify those practical utility in reality. \n2. Critical views toward admissions procedure. \n Although many criticisms toward current admissions procedures were raised from various groups, such as high school applicants, their parents and teachers, and people in the society, very few self reflection has been made by college professors and university administrators. The problem should be reexamined not only in terms of the academic excellency but also in terms of the mental hygiene and the creativity of our next generation. \n3. Purposes and methods of entrance examination. \n Evaluation of admissions procedure, eg. validities of entrance examinations, depends upon the expected roles of college and university. Thus, the work of admissions office should be considered as one of core educational affairs, where wisdoms of educational philosophy, educational technology, and educational measurement and evaluation to be integrated. Also, university autonomy for this matter must be ascertained and respected. \n4. Evaluative criteria for entrance examination. \n The assessment of aptitudes for higher academic performance should be reconsidered. The correlation between entrance examination and undergraduate course work, a popular index for prognosis, have to be interpreted with great caution, since it can be varied by many factors such as homogeniety of applicants, competition rate, students' motivation, etc. A number of repeaters does reflect the defect of admissions procedure. \n5.
