This article introduces a case study of VE in higher education that has been implemented between Japanese learners in Korea and Korean learners in Japan. It, then, investigates the effectiveness of the VE including the improvements in language proficiency and intercultural communicative competence with the use of self-evaluation questionnaire after the VE.
