Pragmalinguistic errors refer to a linguistic problem caused by differences in the linguistic encoding of pragmatic force. Fifty-three English paragraphs written by university sophomores were examined with focus on the use of conjunctions and conjunctive adverbials. Conjunctive adverbials logically connect sentences, clauses, and phrases and play a significant role in describing the relationship between a cause and an effect that writers intend to show. Besides lexical, syntactic, and other mistakes, it was found that students used a conjunction so more frequently than therefore and as a result. However, their usage of so often conveyed pragmatically wrong meanings, which led to impairment of cause-and-effect relationships in their writings. The study also discusses the possible causes of these pragmalinguistic errors: i.e., less instructional input of conjunction so, various meanings and usage of so, and some similarities between so and Japanese counterpart expressions.\n","subitem_description_language":"ja","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_full_name_3":{"attribute_name":"著者別名","attribute_value_mlt":[{"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"8133","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}],"names":[{"name":"松岡 , 弥生子"}]}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.34577/00005102","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"国際基督教大学","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"04523318","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"open access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"MATSUOKA, Yaoko","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"8132","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-04-08"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"06 RA06_Matsuoka.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"752.1 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"日本人EFL学習者の文章作成における因果関係の誤り ――soの使用の例 ――","url":"https://icu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/5323/files/06 RA06_Matsuoka.pdf"},"version_id":"d5b29d6d-7864-467d-b061-50e9a0c5ff48"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"語用論言語学的エラー","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"エラー分析","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"接続語 so","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"英語ライティング","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"母語転移","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"pragmalinguistic errors","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"error analysis","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"conjunction","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"so","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"writing","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"L1 transfer","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"日本人EFL学習者の文章作成における因果関係の誤り ――soの使用の例 ――","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"日本人EFL学習者の文章作成における因果関係の誤り ――soの使用の例 ――","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Pragmalinguistic Errors on a Cause-and-Effect Relationship in Japanese EFL Learners’ Writing: A Case of the Use of ‘So’","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"14","path":["567"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2022-04-08"},"publish_date":"2022-04-08","publish_status":"0","recid":"5323","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["日本人EFL学習者の文章作成における因果関係の誤り ――soの使用の例 ――"],"weko_creator_id":"14","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-09-30T06:45:30.923098+00:00"}
