In Hateruma, there is a limited distribution of strong aspiration in disyllabic words which is argued to be the result of a prosodic condition for a foot: all feet must have at least one heavy syllable. After presenting the distribution of strong aspiration in Hateruma, we propose the *Long-C constraint that is violated when a consonant is phonetically lengthened.
