The data was collected\nin the “Survey on LGBT Issues in the Work Environment 2014,” which was\nconducted by the non-profit organization Nijiiro Diversity and the Center\nfor Gender Studies at International Christian University in 2014. 41.0% of\nthe LGBT people and 25.1% of non-LGBT people who answered the\nquestionnaire elected to answer an open-ended question asking if they\nhave seen or heard about discrimination directed at LGBT people in their\nworkplace. Author used quantitative methods to evaluate which words\nwere used when referencing discrimination and found that “male,”\n“female,” “gay,” “ridicule,” “homo,” “gross,” “okama (lit. “rice pot,” equivalent\nto English “bucket;” derogative euphemism for homosexual or\ntransgender),” “coming out,” “marriage,” “lesbian,” and “sexual minorities”\nwere used frequently. In addition, because this questionnaire asked about\na workplace context, words like “workplace,” “colleague,” “boss,” and\n“employee” came up frequently, but so did “nomikai (social drinking\nparty)”, “neta (joke material),” “socchi-kei (lit. “one of those;” euphemism for\nhomosexual),” and “uwasa (gossip).”\n Among LGBT people, words concerning one’s identity were used more\noften, for instance the word “lesbian” was often used by people who\nidentified as women, and “coming out” was frequently used by selfidentified\ntransgender people, as compared to cisgender people.\n People reacted negatively to discrimination, using words such as “sad,”\n“offended,” “discomfort,” and “anger,” and some people stated that they\nhad “given up” or “resigned” themselves to the situation. From this\nresearch, it is apparent that discrimination towards LGBT people in the\nworkplace is closely related to the traditional Japanese social hierarchy.\nThis organizational uniqueness, closeness, and the continuity of\nrelationships within the workplace make it more difficult for LGBT people\nto deal with a discriminatory environment.\n To encourage equity and to eliminate discrimination in the Japanese\nworkplace is an urgent human rights issue, and at the same time,\npromoting diversity in the workplace is meaningful as it engenders positive\nattitudes toward the organization from both LGBT and non-LGBT people.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.34577/0000004529","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"18804764","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"open access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"二木, 泉","creatorNameLang":"ja"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"6733","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2018-11-29"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"CGSjnl010_06_niki.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.0 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"「 LGBTに関する職場環境アンケート 2014」における 【差別的言動の事例】の内容分析","url":"https://icu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/4529/files/CGSjnl010_06_niki.pdf"},"version_id":"9ca6a795-aa74-4c74-999f-40cf91b6071d"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"「 LGBTに関する職場環境アンケート 2014」における 【差別的言動の事例】の内容分析","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"「 LGBTに関する職場環境アンケート 2014」における 【差別的言動の事例】の内容分析","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Case Analysis of Discriminatory Speech in “Survey on LGBT Issues in the Work Environment 2014”","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"14","path":["474"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2018-11-29"},"publish_date":"2018-11-29","publish_status":"0","recid":"4529","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["「 LGBTに関する職場環境アンケート 2014」における 【差別的言動の事例】の内容分析"],"weko_creator_id":"14","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-10-02T02:43:31.317832+00:00"}
