The current studies in Japan fail to provide solutions to the organizational issues facing Japanese universities. The author analyzed four universities of the Global 5 consortium to identify their common organizational characteristics. Designed as a qualitative study, the author employed Qualitative Content Analysis as the main method to collect and analyze publically available documents.
