The\nstudy followed a pre-test, instruction, post-test design. Four\nlearners completed a picture difference task, then received\ninstruction on negotiation for meaning, and finally completed\na different version of the picture difference task. Learners also\nparticipated in stimulated recall sessions at each stage of the\nexperiment and completed a questionnaire at the end.
