A total of 137 university students completed a questionnaire consisting of 12 items to which they responded using a 5-point semantic differential (SD) scale for each of 12 campus facilities. They also completed a student life scale and were asked to respond to a single item indicating their degree of satisfaction with their university experience. Factor analysis of the semantic differential data resulted in the extraction of three major factors (evaluation, activity, potency) related to the cognition of campus facilities. A second factor analysis based on these initial results found 3 sub-factors of cognition of campus facilities (symbolic, university life, academic). To investigate the effects of the cognition of campus facilities evaluation, and student life on satisfaction with university experience, a hierarchical regression analysis was carried out. The results showed a relationship between the cognition of campus facilities evaluation and student life, and their effects on satisfaction with university experience.
