Such Greek philosophers as Plato, Aristotle, thought that mind and body were two different things, and possessed a dualism that was more concerned with the mind than the body. However, the view of the body in Hebraism, centered on humanity in the Old and New Testaments represents monistic thought that can not separate body and mind. It reflects properly the significance of modern physical education which is human education through physical activities. Thought about the body in Hebraism did not develop in sport history though the corporeal thought of Hellenism richly developed, and became the main indicator in modern physical education.}, pages = {15--24}, title = {身体観と体育ーヘレニズムとヘブライズムを中心にー}, year = {2011} }
