| 内容記述 | This paper introduces the tutorial system in the English for Liberal Arts Program (ELA) at International Christian University (ICU) in Tokyo and briefly reviews some research supporting the inclusion of a tutorial component in the curriculum. The paper then reflects on the ten-year experience of two teachers in the Academic Reading and Writing course regarding their personal development and progress in managing their tutorials. Strategies include improvements in how to frame and explain tutorials in class, how to draft an online tutorial reservation form and handle tutorials in the teacher’s office, and ideas for motivating students to make attending tutorials a regular part of their study habits. | |||||
