| 内容記述 | Virtual Exchange (VE) is emerging as a significant tool for both foreign language education and interdisciplinary international education, gaining global recognition as a method that enhances the internationalization of curricula. In response to this trend, the Korean Ministry of Education has launched a support project for high schools involved in international online exchanges, with plans to expand the initiative after 2024. While local school boards provide basic guidelines to teachers, the responsibility for program implementation largely falls on them, creating challenges. This study presents a case of VE conducted in 2023 between Hopyeong High School in Korea and Tsurugi High School in Japan. It investigates the impact of VE on students' language and intercultural communication skills, based on a post-VE survey conducted with students at Hopyeong High School. Additionally, it explores the broader changes in students’ perspectives and preferences regarding VE design. The findings offer insights that could inform the development of a more effective VE model for high schools, addressing the current need for structured and supportive international exchange programs. | |||||
