 note = {ソーシャル・ネットワークとは、社会との関わりで個人個人がもっている人間関係網で
ある。本研究では、日本の大学で日本語を学ぶ留学生のソーシャル・ネットワーク形成を
明らかにした上で、留学生にとってのソーシャル・ネットワーク形成の意味を考察した。
本研究の調査協力者は留学生4 名であり、留学生活に関してそれぞれインタビューを行っ
た。その分析の結果、いくつかの共通点が明らかになった。留学生はそれぞれ異なるソーシャ
ル・ネットワークを形成しているものの、その中には重要なコミュニティが含まれており、
それを支えているのは親密な友人関係であった。そして、どの留学生にとっても相手との
時間的・空間的共有が友人関係構築の重要な影響要因の一つであることがわかった。さらに、
留学生にとってソーシャル・ネットワークを形成するということは、「自分の居場所を探す」
ことと同義であることが浮き彫りになった。, Social networks are defined as the individual human relationships that each person
has within a society. This paper examines social network development and its meaning for
Japanese language students studying abroad in Japan. Four university students participated
in this study, with each student being interviewed about his/her life in Japan. The results
revealed a number of commonalities and also showed that despite each student having
different social networks, they had an important community supported by close friendship.
Spending time and sharing space with his/her friends was the most important influencing
factor in order to facilitate his/her friendship development. The results indicate that
developing social networks is synonymous with the idea of“ searching for my place” for the
students while in Japan.},
