The results are as follows: first, Puritans regarded education as a means to cure souls and as a very important aspect of life. Second, the effects of Puritanism on the education system of modern Korea have caused a reform of Confucian conventionality. This new belief in Christianity, influenced by Puritanism, has created a sense of independence for most Koreans. The effects of Puritanism have also produced great national leaders. Third, the Puritans’ view of leisure, in other words, Sabbatarianism and asceticism, and the pursuit of pleasure by lawful standards and utilitarian attitudes were generally negative. However they became accepted and encouraged by the organization known as YMCA. Fourth, the effects of Puritan beliefs on leisure in modern Korea \u0002ascetic Sabbatarianism and the sense of leisure as work \u0002 were negative.
