In his book First as Tragedy, Then as Farce, he considers how global capitalism has formed and developed from different angles by connecting theories of socio-analysis. The one is Naomi Klein’s The Shock Doctrine, which became the center of public attention after the terrible earthquake in Japan in March, 2011. The purpose of this paper is to reconsider the relations of some theories of socio-analysis which have great influence now.\nAccording to Klein, the history of capitalism was written in shocks. Infamous human rights violations have tended to be viewed as sadistic acts by anti-democratic regimes. On the other hand, however, they have been made use of to prepare the ground for the introduction of free-market reforms. An example is the US attack on Iraq. It is based on the idea that capitalism could be established while people would offer no opposition. They could smoothly receive the new order by turning them into an ideological tabula rasa.\nŽižek criticizes that supporters of global capitalism never admit the origin of many hardships they face is itself. People were convinced of the victory of liberal democracy when Francis Fukuyama declared the end of history. However, they came to know that it was an illusion after the successive accidents such as 9/11. Žižek emphasizes the situation “the crush of civilizations” comes from capitalism, but which does not mean its end. On the\ncontrary, those who are against the West are also in the huge civilization whose name is global capitalism. This is the situation which Anthony Giddens calls reflexive modernization. Cultures have changed reflexively under the influence of globalization, which mentions globalization and localization are two sides of the same coin.\nGiddens says the situation called postmodernity is not the end of modernity but the result of its development. According to Žižek, traditional orders and meta-histories do not function properly. Therefore people need tentative ethics as substitutes, but social conditions are still unstable. Žižek argues that it is impossible to suppose the existence of a big other as a basis of social order, and so bidding farewell to progressivism is important. It is an action to bring out the unrealized possibilities by reconsidering self-critically their truism which they are tied to.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_1_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.34577/00001525","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_1_source_id_13":{"attribute_name":"雑誌書誌ID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AN00088847","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_1_text_2":{"attribute_name":"記事種別(日)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_text_value":"研究ノート"}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2014-12-05"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"ICU_No73_09_萩原.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"670.8 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"スラヴォイ・ジジェクのグローバル資本主義分析の検討『はじめは悲劇として、二度目は笑劇として』(2009)の批判的読解を通じて","url":"https://icu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/1539/files/ICU_No73_09_萩原.pdf"},"version_id":"1aca9614-069e-4767-ab77-7050b7c2bd58"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"スラヴォイ・ジジェクのグローバル資本主義分析の検討:『はじめは悲劇として、二度目は笑劇として』(2009)の批判的読解を通じて","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"スラヴォイ・ジジェクのグローバル資本主義分析の検討:『はじめは悲劇として、二度目は笑劇として』(2009)の批判的読解を通じて"}]},"item_type_id":"1","owner":"3","path":["253"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2012-03-31"},"publish_date":"2012-03-31","publish_status":"0","recid":"1539","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["スラヴォイ・ジジェクのグローバル資本主義分析の検討:『はじめは悲劇として、二度目は笑劇として』(2009)の批判的読解を通じて"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-09-25T06:31:49.683599+00:00"}
